Text Back

Central Taxis are the only company in Shropshire to offer this unique free service. When you book a taxi using your mobile phone, request text back and when your car arrives you will get a text message stating the make/model/colour and registration number of the car coming to collect you. Extremely handy if you are outside a club, pub or even outside a local shop, making sure you get in the correct vehicle.

Ring Back

Every Central Taxis customer that makes a booking will automatically get Ringback. Your phone will ring twice to let you know your car will arrive shortly.

Tip: Store this number 01952 507300 (Telford) or 01743 465050 (Shrewsbury) on your mobile under the heading ‘Taxi Outside'. This way you will know the number and not have to answer the call. (Please note that this number does not accept incoming calls.)

Mobile Priority Service

This service offers you the option to book your taxi without speaking to one of our telephone operators.

To use this facility on your mobile phone, simply complete the form below.

Instructions on using this service after registering your mobile number.

Please note when using this service - Pickup 1,2 & 3 will relate to buttons 1,2 & 3 on your mobile phone.

Please listen to the message played after dialling 501050 and confirm your pickup by pressing the number of the journey you wish to book. You can press "0" at anytime and speak to one of our telephonists.

After booking your pickup point the system will give you your reference number.

You can only book a taxi for ASAP using this service. Press "0" on your mobile to speak to a telephonist if you wish to prebook for a particular time.

1. You must already be a regular user of Central Taxis. Your number will be checked against our records.

2. Miss use of the service (ie not turning up for your booked taxi) will result in the withdrawal of this service.

3. If you are catching a train or bus you must book at least 25 minutes in advance of departure time.
